Sarah and Nicholas Fraser are already neck-deep in exotic animals when Mr. McCurdy and Vladimir rescue another truckload of creatures, including two baby kangaroos, a leopard, and a lion.

Sarah wonders how on earth they'll be able to care for the ever-expanding menagerie . . . but that is the least of their problems. Some shady characters are threatening her beloved animals, a bunch of gun-toting crooks are on the lookout to buy illegal wildlife for zoos, and some sort of parrot disease has put Mr. McCurdy's farm under quarantine!
