Sponsor a Scholastic Book Fair

Give kids the gift of reading and a day they’ll always remember by sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair. Every kid deserves the Fair experience—and you can make it possible!

What are Sponsorship Fairs?

Sponsorship Fairs help bring the joy of a Scholastic Book Fair to every school! Throughout the school year, Scholastic helps generous, mission-aligned organizations to bring the Book Fair experience to schools and students in need. Your gift not only supports the delivery of a Fair to one of these schools, but also provides free books to every student, ensuring every child goes home with new books—and an ear-to-ear smile.

Our Sponsorship Fair partners to date have given over 3000 students the chance to choose books of their very own to read over and over again! This experience not only builds home libraries and access to books at no cost to families, but adds even more beloved stories to school libraries to inspire independent reading for years to come.

Why Sponsor a Book Fair?

Each year, thousands of schools across Canada host a Scholastic Book Fair to raise funds and get students psyched about reading. But many schools aren’t able to host a Fair because families in their communities can’t afford new books. A Sponsorship Fair gives these students the chance to bring home books of their very own.

That’s why we invite individual donors, businesses, and non-profits to sponsor a Fair. We believe that getting books in the hands of kids always makes a difference. You’ll rarely see the true impact of your donation as vividly as kids with joyful hearts and heavy backpacks. When you sponsor a Scholastic Book Fair, you’re not only helping children read more, you’re also giving them the chance to choose their own books from our selection of kid-favourite series and characters.

When children are given the ability to choose which books matter to them, they:

  • are more likely to read,
  • have higher literacy and academic achievement rates,
  • and learn to love books and reading for life!

That rare opportunity can transform hesitant readers into lifelong book lovers! That’s the Scholastic difference.
