If the light is not solid green, you can re\u2010pair it below.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Connecting the Terminal<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">By default, the terminal uses a cellular network. If your school\u2019s cellular signal\u00a0 is weak, causing lag, buffering, and other connectivity issues with the device, you can connect via Ethernet or secure WiFi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.scholastic.ca\/bookfairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2026\/08\/BF_F26_ConnectivityGuide_08-26_v4-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"btn mt-4 btn-primary rounded-pill\" onclick=\"schcaTrackingEvent('English', 'Moneris\u00ae Go Retail POS User Guide', 'Connecting the Terminal: Learn more');\">Learn more<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Terminal and Base Pairing<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your terminal and base should already be paired. If they become unpaired, follow these steps.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Power the base<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ensure the base is plugged in throughout pairing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Power on the terminal\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Press and hold the power button on the left side of the terminal for five seconds until the screen turns on.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Start pairing\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hold down the power button until the menu appears, then tap <\/span><b>Base<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you see <\/span><b>No base can be found<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, continue to the next step.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Scan the base QR code\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap the small scanning icon <\/span><b>[&#8211;] <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in the top right corner.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lift the terminal off the base.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Turn the base over and scan the QR code.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you see<\/span><b> Invalid barcode<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, tap <\/span><b>OK<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and try again.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>TIP! <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Place the base on a steady surface for easier scanning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Confirm pairing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When <\/span><b>Connections Available<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> appears, tap <\/span><b>Pair base<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The terminal will connect to <\/span><b>ING2.4G_XXXXXX<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (the base).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When <\/span><b>Pair Successfu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">l appears, tap <\/span><b>OK<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you see <\/span><b>Peripheral has been occupied\u2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, select <\/span><b>YES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. This confirms the base is communicating with the terminal.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>6. Return to the main screen<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap the navigation button \u25aa at the bottom of the screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Open the <\/span><b>Go Retail app<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>IMPORTANT!<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> If the login screen doesn\u2019t include a field to enter your password, please swipe the screen closed and then tap the <\/span><b>Go Retail app<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> icon to launch the correct app.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Connect the USB scanner<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Plug the scanner back into the USB port. It will beep to confirm it\u2019s connected.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Powering on the Terminal<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1. Locate the thin power button on the left side of the terminal. Press and hold the button for five seconds until the screen lights up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2. The device will display the blue <\/span><b>Ingenico<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> logo, then cycle through startup screens for about 60 seconds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3. When the white time\/date idle screen appears and stays for at least 30 seconds:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Swipe inward from the left edge of the screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap <\/span><b>Exit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from the menu.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4. On the next screen, tap the <\/span><b>Go Retail app <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to launch it. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Logging In<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1. Tap the<\/span><b> Username<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> field and enter the username printed on the green label on the underside of the terminal. Tap the <\/span><b>Password<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> field and enter the matching, case-sensitive password shown on the label.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2. Tap <\/span><b>Sign In<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to access the POS system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Important notes:<\/span><\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each terminal has its <\/span><b>own unique username and password<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Use the credentials that belong to that specific device.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you see a login screen that doesn\u2019t include a field to enter your password, you\u2019re in the wrong place. The correct login screen requires a password and features a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">blue sign-in bar<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap the square navigation button at the bottom of the screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Swipe up to close the app.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reopen the <\/span><b>Go Retail app <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">from the main screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>TIP! <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap the globe icon in the top right corner of the login screen to switch to French.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Using the Terminal and Scanner<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none  container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Important notes:<\/span><\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The terminal works <\/span><b>on or off <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the base.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The base must stay powered for the handheld scanner to function.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the best battery life, keep the terminal on the base whenever possible. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Scanning a transaction:<\/span><\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap <\/span><b>Scan <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">near the top right side of the screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aim the handheld scanner at the barcode and squeeze the trigger.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A beep will confirm the scan, and the item will appear in the cart.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continue scanning all items the customer is purchasing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review the cart to ensure all items and quantities are correct.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap <\/span><b>View Cart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to view the<\/span><b> Order Details<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> screen, including items, prices, and total amount due.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>IMPORTANT!<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Review the items in the care BEFORE processing payments. The unit is <\/span><b>UNABLE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to process voids or refunds.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"container-fluid block_text\">\n\t<div class=\"bg-none mt-5 container-fluid\">\n\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col pb-2 text-start\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h6 class=\"d-block mt-0\"><span>Customer paying with debit, credit card, or Mydoh:<\/span><\/h6>\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the checkout screen, <\/span><b>Pay with Card<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is selected by default.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap <\/span><b>Pay with Card<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have the customer tap or insert their card.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wait for approval, then tap<\/span><b> OK<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tap <\/span><b>No Receipt<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> unless the customer requests one.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Receipt details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A <\/span><b>Merchant Copy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> prints automatically for debit\/credit transactions.
