Scholastic Book Fairs are engaging literacy events that provide kids the chance to choose what they want to read! With bestselling titles, series, and beloved characters, students of all ages and reading levels can connect with stories that entertain, inspire, and delight. A carefully curated selection of books and items are made available to your school, giving families the opportunity to enhance their home library, while earning Scholastic Dollars for their school.<\/span><\/p>\n

How does my school benefit from hosting a Scholastic Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

Every purchase at a Scholastic Book Fair contributes Scholastic Dollars to the hosting school. Whether you are looking to refresh your school library, support the expansion of classroom libraries, furnish maker spaces, or purchase curriculum support, Scholastic Dollars can help to supplement school budgets to benefit all students. How do Scholastic Book Fairs help readers?<\/b><\/p>\n

The most recent <\/span>Kids and Family Reading Report\u2122 (Canadian Edition)<\/span><\/i> revealed that 94% of kids agree their favourite books are the ones they have chosen themselves. What\u2019s more, kids are five times more likely to finish a book that they selected! A Scholastic Book Fair provides a unique experience that empowers children to explore the books that interest them, leading to an increase in reading minutes, and the building of lifelong readers.<\/span><\/p>\n

What happened to Virtual Book Fairs?<\/b><\/p>\n

We were so happy to support schools with a Virtual Book Fair option while students transitioned between remote and in-school learning. A return to the classroom means a return to the best day ever, with an in-person Scholastic Book Fair. Our virtual Fair platform was retired prior to the 23\/24 school year, but access to an amazing online selection of must-have books, and exciting monthly offers can be found at <\/span>scholastic.ca\/bookclubs<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who can host a Scholastic Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

Schools all across Canada can explore the possibility of hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. Our team of Book Fair Consultants are happy to help discover which options best suit the needs of your community. How can I schedule a Scholastic Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

Do you charge shipping and\/or delivery fees for a Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

Our team is so excited to deliver a Scholastic Book Fair to your school, and our top priority is to ensure safe and timely delivery.<\/span>

\n<\/span>A standard Delivery Fee of $25.00 CAD will be applied to each scheduled In-School Book Fair. This fee will be added to your Total Amount Due in the Financial Form.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why are cash rewards options unavailable in Quebec?<\/b><\/p>\n

In accordance with the Act respecting the development of Qu\u00e9bec Firms in the book industry (Law 51), Scholastic Dollars may only be issued in product rewards to schools and residents of the province of Quebec. <\/span>https:\/\/www.legisquebec.gouv.qc.ca\/en\/document\/cs\/D-8.1<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Is there a cancellation fee for a Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

It is critical that all Scholastic Book Fairs be confirmed a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the Fair Set-Up date, as this allows us time for production and delivery final preparations. Please note that a Late Cancellation Fee of $100 will be applied to those Fairs who cancel a confirmed Book Fair within 5 business days of the Set-Up Date. This fee will be decremented from the Scholastic Dollars balance on the account within 48 hours of cancellation.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Please Note: If the Scholastic Dollars balance cannot accommodate the Late cancellation Fee, an invoice will be generated and supplied via email to the Book Fair Host.<\/span><\/p>\n

What happens if a lost credit or debit card is found at the Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

Can I purchase a Scholastic gift card and use it at my school\u2019s Book Fair?<\/b><\/p>\n

All Scholastic eGift Cards are issued by Scholastic Inc. and can only be spent on Scholastic U.S. websites. These gift cards are not valid in Canada and are not accepted as a form of payment at your school\u2019s Book Fair.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the Student Reorder Site<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

What is the Student Reorder site?<\/b>
\n<\/span>The Student Reorder site allows Fair Hosts to order additional items that sold out during their Fair but are still available in inventory.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who can place a Student Reorder and when?<\/b>
\n<\/span>Fair Hosts can use the Student Reorder site to place a reorder while their Fair is still open and before payment is finalized.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do I access the student reorder site?<\/b>
\n<\/span>From the Fair Details and Settings page in the Host Hub, log in, select an open Fair, and click the \u2018Place Student Reorder\u2019 button under the \u2018Student Reorder\u2019 section. If the Fair hasn\u2019t started yet or has already ended, the button will appear greyed out and cannot be clicked.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What if I\u2019ve already submitted a student reorder but need to add more items?<\/b><\/p>\n

You can update your reorder as long as your Fair hasn\u2019t been finalized. Simply return to the student reorder site, make your changes, and click \u2018Update\u2019 to confirm the order. Once your order is updated, you\u2019ll receive an updated confirmation email.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Do I need to save my order manually?<\/b>
\n<\/span>Yes. Be sure to save your order manually. If you don\u2019t, and your session times out or you close your browser, the page will refresh and any unsaved items will be lost.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How do I pay for my student reorder?<\/b>
\n<\/span>You don\u2019t need to make a separate payment on the Student Reorder site. Here\u2019s why:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Students pay for their items at the Fair.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • As the Host, you complete a Student Reorder form at the Fair for your records and the student\u2019s.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • When you place the reorder online, those items are added to your Fair invoice and included in your overall Fair balance.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Since payment was already collected at the Fair, there\u2019s no additional payment required on the reorder site.<\/span><\/p>\n

    About the Product Rewards Site<\/span><\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

    What is the Product Rewards Order site?<\/b>
    \n<\/span>The Product Rewards Order site is where Hosts can use their Scholastic Dollars balance to shop for products and resources. Please note, for product taken directly off your Fair, this is recorded directly in your Financial Form, and not through the Product Rewards site.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Can I access the Product Rewards Order site without a Scholastic Dollars balance?<\/b>
    \n<\/span>Yes. You can still place an order even if you don\u2019t have a Scholastic Dollars balance. You\u2019ll simply agree to be contacted to arrange payment.<\/span><\/p>\n

    How and when can I access the Product Rewards Order site?<\/b><\/p>\n

    From the Fair Details and Settings page in the Host Hub, click the \u2018Place Rewards Order\u2019 link in the \u2018Wrap Up\u2019 section. You can access the Product Rewards Order site at any time. If you have a Scholastic Dollars balance, you can spend it on the site. If you don\u2019t have a balance, you can still place an order by agreeing to be contacted to arrange payment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the unprecedented rise in shipping and handling costs for products, it is necessary to incorporate a shipping & handling fee to orders placed through our Book Fairs branches, as in our other Scholastic catalogues.<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Orders up to $150:<\/b> The shipping & handling charge is a flat rate of $10.00.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Orders $150 & up:<\/b> The shipping & handling charge is 7% of your order value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

       <\/p>\n

      How long will it take for my order to arrive?<\/b><\/p>\n

      Your servicing Branch will pack and process your order as your Scholastic Dollars become available. If we are waiting for your payment to be processed, it can take up to 4 weeks for your cheque to arrive and for Scholastic Dollars to be added to your account. Once shipped, you should receive your package within 10 business days. Some exceptions may apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      There is a book I want to order, but it is not on the list. <\/b>
      \n<\/span>Our Book Fairs Branches carry the latest titles for each school year, and older titles may not be available in the cycle. We invite you to explore our other departments and catalogues for these books. You may also use your Scholastic Dollars as a method of
